About the program
Our annual “Sounds of the Season” concert is the perfect way to begin your celebrations! This year, we’re honoring the person who makes it all possible—Santa! Enjoy beloved classics like Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, and It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, along with music from The Polar Express and Miracle on 34th Street. Don’t miss our perennial kiddie conductors and a special narration of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas by local voice actor Jason Dempsey.

Jason Dempsey once again joyfully takes the stage with Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra. A much beloved educator with a career spanning over 20 years, literally thousands have thrived under his tutelage. Jason discovered a love for voice acting through the recording of audiobooks for his print challenged students: he has since has narrated novels, voiced articles for Tumbleweird in Seattle, been involved in live-action stagings, and recently served as the narrator for Sinfonietta: A Christmas Carol with Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra in the persons of Scrooge, Marley, the “ghosts” and more. Having retired from an illustrious career as an educator, Jason is now able to devote his energies to voice acting full time; his voiceover journey takes him from the page to the stage!
