About the program
Enjoy timeless music from classics like Casablanca, Sunset Boulevard, Psycho, Ben-Hur, and more, all inspired by the Golden Age of Hollywood. Featuring guest artist Uli Speth, who will perform the Korngold Violin Concerto, famously known as the Hollywood Concerto.

German violinist Uli Speth, a graduate of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, has performed as a soloist and as a chamber musician throughout the U.S. He has commissioned and premiered several new pieces for string quartet, performed live on Vermont Public Radio and KMFA of Texas and has recorded for Public Radio Networks in Austria and in Italy.
Mr. Speth has enjoyed performing chamber music alongside members of the Hagen, Emerson, Cavaliere and Ying quartets and members of Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. His solo performances have earned him praise by the critics of the Austin American Statesman and Salzburger Nachrichten, among others.
Since 2005 Uli has served as concertmaster of the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra, and in recent years also as concertmaster for the Chappaqua Orchestra and Fenimore Chamber Orchestra. He has also performed with well known conductors such as Gerard Schwarz, Kurt Masur, James Levine, JoAnn Falletta, Marin Alsop and others.
A dedicated educator, Uli serves on the faculties of The College of New Jersey, Hartwick College and Eastern Music Festival.
