About the program

This concert celebrates American and British musical theater, featuring works by Rodgers & Hammerstein, Gilbert & Sullivan, and more. Vocalists Lindsay O’Neil, Madelin Morales, and Colton Cook perform selections from HMS Pinafore, Carousel, Oklahoma!, and South Pacific. Other favorites include Fiddler on the Roof, My Fair Lady, and The King and I.

Join Jarrett Winters Morley for an entertaining and informative talk about the Golden Age of Broadway. Enjoy video clips from your favorite shows and anecdotes about the performers of that era. You will be amazed at what happened behind the scenes!

guest vocalist - Lindsay o'neil

Lindsay O’Neil is thrilled to be returning for another concert with Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra. Lindsay has had a robust performing career spanning Broadway, Off Broadway, The Metropolitan Opera, and National Tours. New York highlights include: The Phantom of the Opera, A Christmas Story, The Musical, Cats, Carousel, Celebrating Stephen Schwartz, The Most Happy Fella, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Little Me, I Married An Angel, and Babes In Toyland. She appears on numerous recordings/cast albums and can be seen on Apple TV and Broadway Plus.
     In addition to being an active performer Lindsay is a passionate arts educator. She teaches voice both collegiately and privately where she resides in the Hudson Valley. Lindsay holds a masters and bachelors degree in vocal performance from Manhattan School of Music and Eastman School of Music respectively and is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association. Many thanks to her family for all their love and support.

guest vocalist - colton cook

Picture
Colton Cook, American baritone, believes that the stories of humanity are told through music. He uses a broad repertoire within and outside of the classical music canon to explore and tell stories that have been excluded or silenced in the past. 
     Mr. Cook has been featured as a soloist in Schubert’s Mass in G with the Bard Chamber Singers, in the role of George, Earl of Mountararat in the VAP and TON’s production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe in the spring of 2023, as the role of Arn in YIVO Institute of Jewish Research's production of Shir Hashirim, and the role of Mars in the VAP’s 2024 production of Orphée aux enfers.
     Colton graduated with a BS in Music Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and completed a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Bard College Conservatory Graduate Vocal Arts Program where he studied with tenor Richard Cox. Currently, Colton serves as the Facilities and Operations Manager for the Music Department at Marist University.

guest vocalist - madelin morales

Madelin Morales is a Cuban-American mezzo-soprano, currently pursuing her Master of Music at Bard Conservatory’s Vocal Arts Program. Favorite operatic roles include: Paula in Florencia en el Amazonas, Mercédès in Carmen, Oberto in Alcina, and Taller Daughter in Proving Up. Madelin was recently awarded First Place at the 2025 Carolyn Bailey Argento Competition, and received an Encouragement Award at the 2024 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Connecticut District. She is also a 2023 Schmidt Undergraduate Vocal Competition winner, and a 2019 U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts.
     A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Madelin received her Bachelor of Music in vocal performance, and received an Arts Leadership Certificate and a business minor from the University of Rochester. She is an alumna of the Tanglewood Music Festival (2024) and Music Academy of the West (2023). This summer, Madelin makes her professional debut with Central City Opera as a Studio Artist (2025).

guest presenter - jarrett winters morley

Jarrett Winters Morley is a BroadwayWorld Award-winning Music Director, Producer, Composer, and Performer. In 2021, Jarrett founded his production company JWM: A Theatrical Company, which produces free, accessible concerts and teaches the history behind Broadway shows around the country. He received his B.M from Manhattan School of Music and M.A from Berklee College of Music.
     A proud member of The Dramatist Guild of America and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), in 2022, Mr. Morley was a Fulbright Program finalist. Currently, he is in the midst of preparing The History of Into The Woods at 54 Below, which will explore the background behind the Sondheim/Lapine 1987 musical of the same name.
     Mr. Morley has interviewed Musical Theatre individuals such as Lynn Ahrens, Sammi Cannold, Gabrielle Carteris, Joanna Gleason, Stephen Flaherty, Andrew Gerle, Peggy Gordon, Dee Hoty, Andrew Lippa, David Loud, Or Matias and more.
     A New York City local, he is an active supporter of the arts in the educational system, providing access to the arts in underprivileged communities, and artistic collaboration. Learn More
